How do I turn a photo into a puzzle?

Open Browse and choose Your photo, then pick a picture from your library. Cuzzles cuts it into a real interlocking jigsaw right on your device. You choose the piece count: 12, 24, or 48 pieces on the free tier, or 96 pieces with Premium. Creating puzzles from your own photos is unlimited, even on free.

How do I send a playable Cuzzle?

Choose Send Cuzzle for a puzzle, add your name and an optional note, and share the link in your messaging app. Your recipient opens the link in Cuzzles; if they need to install the app first, they should return to the original message and open the link again. The website does not play the puzzle. The full picture stays hidden until they finish. Gifted puzzles are free to play, even at 96 pieces; creating your own 96-piece boards still requires Premium.

Keep the entire link intact: the part after the # contains the decryption key. Anyone with the link can open or forward the puzzle, so only share pictures you have permission to send. The encrypted server copy expires within 30 days. A copy already downloaded by a recipient can remain on their device after the link expires. Don't include private Cuzzle links when contacting support.

How do I play the National Gallery of Art collection offline?

Open the collection in Browse while connected to the internet and start an artwork to download it. Once the image is on your device, that puzzle plays offline. The collection has 128 works and is free to access. Your own photo puzzles and the included Starter Pack also play offline.

Where are my photos and puzzles stored?

On your device. Puzzles are cut and stored locally, there is no account, and gameplay is fully offline. If you explicitly choose Send Cuzzle, a 30-day end-to-end encrypted copy is the only exception. See the privacy policy for the full picture, including how ads on the free tier work.

How do I delete my data?

Uninstalling Cuzzles deletes its on-device data: puzzles, progress, completions, favorites, and streaks. A Cuzzle you already shared is a separate end-to-end encrypted copy, so uninstalling or deleting the local puzzle does not revoke it. Because Cuzzles has no accounts and the sharing service never receives the key, the app cannot locate or delete that copy early; it expires automatically within 30 days. Deleting a local puzzle never touches the original photo in your library.

I bought Premium. How do I restore it on another device?

Cuzzles Premium is tied to the store account used to buy it, not to one device. Install Cuzzles on a compatible device, sign in with the same Google Play or App Store account, and use Restore Purchases in Settings. Purchases do not transfer between Google Play and the App Store. Any Apple Family Sharing eligibility will be shown on the App Store product page.

Why does the iPhone app ask for permission to track?

The free tier is supported by ads from Google AdMob. On iPhone and iPad, iOS shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before the advertising identifier can be used for personalized ads. As the prompt itself says: Cuzzles uses this to show more relevant ads, and the app works fully either way. Ads stay non-personalized if you decline. Premium removes ads entirely, and the prompt with them.

My daily-puzzle reminder isn't showing up

The reminder is an optional local notification. On iPhone or iPad, check Settings > Notifications > Cuzzles and confirm notifications are allowed. On Android, check Settings > Apps > Cuzzles > Notifications. Focus and Do Not Disturb modes on either platform will silence it. The Daily Puzzle itself works fine without the reminder. It's just there to protect your streak.

I closed the app mid-puzzle. Did I lose my progress?

No. Every puzzle autosaves as you play. Reopen the puzzle and every piece, including joined groups, is exactly where you left it. Cuzzles records solve time, but there is no countdown or deadline and your saved puzzle does not expire while you're away.

Can I share a finished puzzle?

Yes. When you finish a puzzle you can share or save the completed image using your device's standard share sheet. You decide where it goes. This image-sharing option is separate from Send Cuzzle, which uploads an encrypted copy so someone else can play the puzzle.
